The “Barren” cries to GOD.
GOD answered with a special Son.

A Rapture from Sodom & Gomorrah
Gen 18:16 – 19:29
- Lot & family chose the bright city lights.
- 6 is less than 10.
- Lot’s family is warned to flee.
- Only Lot & 2 daughters reach Zoar (Tzo’ar)

- 3 wise & 3 unwise reminds of the Parable of the Bridesmaids (Matt 25:1-13 follows Matt 24)
- The destruction of S&G reminds of the Flood (Gen 7:1-24)
- Paul encourage us to be ready. (1 Thes 5:1-11 & 2 Thes 2:1-17)

Akedah Yitzhak
Gen 22:1-19
- Abraham’s 10th of 10 tests of faith. Test = Growth
- Abraham slept, arose early.
- On the 3rd day, GOD led him to the Temple Mount.
- Isaac asked about the lamb, accepted the answer.
- “GOD will provide for Himself a Lamb”
- Messianic prophecy.
- Did Abraham “over-power” Isaac (37) to bind him?
- “Hineni” in Abraham, Moses, EliYah’s words.
Akedah Yeshua
- Human sacrifice? Sages have no clear answer. Only that Isaac will be raised from the dead, is believable. Isaac had to be resurrected or be born again.
- Meaningful that the Akedah is read on Rosh Hashanah – when the year is born again.
- Kierkegaard wrote that faith is paradoxical. Ethically it is murder, Religiously it is sacrifice. The “Voice of (human) reason” creates conflict, faith supersedes understanding.
- Sarah’s death.
- The SON of GOD willingly allowed Himself to be sacrificed to atone for our sin. Through the Akedah of Yeshua Ha’Meshiach we are saved.
