In these end times, with nations in an uproar and peoples’ hearts failing them for fear, God remains our unshakeable rock – the One who is ‘more-than-enough’ in every circumstance. Whatever the predicament, He reveals His loving care in multifarious ways tenaciously expressed in unexpected twists and turns. Immanu-el is our covering, “God with us” against every weapon formed against us, established in that secret place for those who abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Immanu-el should be embraced in the epicentre of every believer’s heart; our proclamation – not with blood-curdling threats akin to mediaeval crusaders, nor with pious airs of self righteousness reinforced by religious hierarchies, or with torrid manipulations of others – but in quietness and confidence, trusting wholly in Him. (Isa.30:15)
Immanu-el is reward for those who wholeheartedly serve the King of Kings and walk in godly love, obedience and humility. In all of it He gently whispers, “I will never leave nor forsake you,” our Immanu-el, our Yeshua!
